Priora Overview
Why Priora?
In middle aged personal responsibilities peak. In addition to our own health and homes, we find ourselves responsible for our growing children and aging parents, their schools, their health and finances. All of which entails paperwork. Staying on top of it all, often comes at the expense of our health and wellbeing. Not to mention, the constant fear that we may have missed an important deadline in the sea of low priority messages.
Messages can be about school field trips, doctors prescriptions, home maintenance bills, all the way to tax documents. Messages come over various channels- emails, web downloads, promotional brochure and snail mail. Message content can be pdfs, docx or plain text. Messages come intermingled, in no specific order. Each thread seems to simmer and evolve over time, with a pace of it’s own.
When we are faced with an issue, a few weeks or months down the line, if these messages are not already organized, people struggle trying to remember or find, where things were left off.
Even the most disciplined amongst can spend a fair bit of time trying to maintain this state of organization. Ideally, we want to be able to quickly recover the context and be reminded of the status or our own thoughts when the topic had been fresh in our minds. At Worldient, we think help with organization and prioritization is KEY to our collective sanity. That’s why we created Priora.
Priora does all the work locally. Not an iota of your personal content is sent over the internet. Basically, you can run Priora WITHOUT an internet connection.
What does Priora do?
The main Priora process works as follows. Priora continuously watches and processes each file as it arrives in an input folder. It reads and produces a dashboard giving key details of each document - deadlines, dollar amounts involved and the call to action. Priora also files the document into appropriate subfolders, housed under a user designated output folder. This way, Priora automatically collocates related messages and documents, regardless of when and how they arrived at your doorstep making it easier for you to recover the context like call to or from customer service or billing department. You can annotate and keep track of your thoughts on the dashboard, for future reference.
